With a laid-back, friendly vibe, I want to capture the real you, embracing all the little quirks and genuine moments that make your family special. We’ll keep things relaxed and fun, letting your true personalities shine in every shot. I'm thrilled to meet you!
I'm Laura and I reside south of Te Kuiti on a sheep and beef farm with my hubby Sam and our three loud adventurous boys Flynn & twins Jacob and Spencer. All in school as of late last year. So knowing I would have extra time on my hands I decided to start up my photography biz Little Valley Photography in November 2021. I’m a perfectionist, a people pleaser, self critical and also dyslexic, so creative work (art, photography, graphic design, and gardening to name a few) is my escape and love.
I have always had a trusty Nikon camera, since my first one, a film camera back when I was studying photography and computer graphic design in 2004, 19 years ago!!! Crazy how time flys!! Then it was my first digital with a tiny tiny screen, then one with a bigger screen and I now own a mirrorless Nikon, which I absolutely love!!!
Over the years I mostly stuck to landscape, rural and a bit of sport photography (before the kids I’d be snapping photos at the Waitete rugby games) and occasionally doing a few portraits for family, all as a hobby.
Then comes along my gorgeous boys and they became my muses!! Sorry boys!! They bought my new passion for family photography. I loved the fun they had and I wanted to catch the authentic moments, their laughter and joy! I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to work with you all and I'm looking forward to building new friendships along the way!
